Full Belly Project Partnership Coordinator
I work for a non-profit called the Full Belly Project that makes labor saving agricultural devices for developing countries. Everything we do we put in the public domain, and we have a major project going on right now in Manila. Our flagship machine is the Universal Nut Sheller that saves has the potential to help feed the 1/2 billion people in the world (10% of the world's poorest) that rely on peanuts as their primary source of protein. The problem is they can only shell them at rate of 2lbs an hour our machine does 110 lbs an hour literally reducing months worth of labor to 2 weeks. We're working with MIT, and a Filipino NGO called the Myshelter Foundation to make the Philippines into a net exporter of peanuts.
